Claremont sits at the eastern edge of Los Angeles County, and it is the closest of these cities to our office in Upland, which in practice means shorter travel for the crew and easier site supervision.
It runs its own building division, and it has a strong preservation culture, particularly around the older neighbourhoods near the colleges and the Village.

Proximity to our office genuinely matters on a long project: it is easier to have a supervisor on site more often, and easier to respond to something the same day rather than the next.
Trees and older neighbourhoods
Claremont takes its street trees and its historic residential fabric seriously. Both can affect access, staging and what is allowed on an exterior, and both are worth checking before the design is fixed.
