The hearth wall is tiled to full height in a dark matte format, and it is the one heavy element in a room that is otherwise white from floor to ridge. Wide-plank oak runs through the living and dining space and on into the kitchen, with the stair left open to the room.
The same hand carries into the bathrooms: white oak vanities with brushed-brass fittings and stone tops, tile to the full height of the wall, and sliding glass to the showers.
